Gunships over Ripley last night.

Pair of helicopter gunships flew over Ripley last night at about 17:30 - 17:45.

Anyone know where they'd be heading or what they where?

Flying pretty low and pretty loud, circular radar over the rotors if that helps identify model.

Police helicopter was also up shortly after, are we expecting civil unrest or is it for the BNP at Denby!

They'd be Westland Apache's, probably just transiting over. Not sure where too but they're based at Dishforth with the AAC so could have been headed that way.

The police helicopter wasn't linked, unless it was one of our ex-military pilots having some mates over for a cuppa!
