I slipped into watching it a few weeks back now as I was getting bored finding things to do whilst the OH stared blankly at the screen for an hour each night.

And, I hate to admit, I am rather enjoying it. They seem to have a good mixture of characters in the house this year, as in some fake, some genuine and some just utterly clueless.

Just thought I'd get that off my chest before donning a rather fetching flame-proof suit...

It's still on?

I don't think anyone noticed this year. Or cares.

I think the concept is long past its prime.

We also try and keep it to one thread, this looks like the one - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

No action since June so I guess no one is bothered and quite rightly so.

You do realise that this years Big Brother is a complete and utter con and completely scripted, yes? The fact that the housemates always seem to know exactly what's going to happen just hours before thigns happen says it all

Eg;

"Imagine if they brought your boyfriend in?" An hour later, Karly's boyfriend enters the house

"I bet you're going to meet the Queen Rodrigo". The next day, rodrigo meets the Queen (an impersonator at least)

etc, etc.

There's no Live Feed other than 3-4 hours a night so 24hours of the Big Brother house is condensed into 45mins of Highlights show. They've been completely inconsistent with the rules (letting some people talk about nominations whilst punishing others, letting people sleep during the day then punishing others for doing the same) not to mention deliberately winding people up, causing scenarios and fixing the nominations so that they can get the people they want to the final.

This is the first series that I've not watched a single episode. And it sounds like I'm not missing out on much.

It didn't always used to have a live feed. In fact, I don't even think the first series was shown every night. And all the other things you have mentioned happen in practically every series I have watched previously to this.

I've been watching it, actually got quite in to it as well, but only because SWMBO is sat goggling at it every night, honest.

Not out of choice, the OH watches but even she thinks it's time they put the thing to bed.

Awful television. Don't think I ever watched it properly past the first two series.

It was an interesting experiment at first but that was it. More a vehicle for wannabe Z-listers now.

Are you kidding me? The first series even had controllable webcams for you to watch them on!

I don't think previous years have been as scripted as this. Last year for example, Rex didn't have a clue his missus would be going in. This year, Noirin seemed to know the 'delivery guy' was her boyfriend before he'd even removed his helmet!

Then there's all the 'issues' they've had with the voting this year. Numbers not working, accidentally putting the wrong numbers up, lines being constantly engaged, etc, etc.

I still find it more interesting than most of the trash on TV.

They really should play more mind games with them though, setting them against each other.

Didn't know that, although I didn't watch any until series 4 I think.

Still, doesn't seem to have stopped you watching it smile

I would never vote to evict anyone, I watch it because the OH does but it is good entertainment so if that is down to what they've been doing behind the scenes then so be it.

CERTAINLY NOT!

And I have no idea who the below bella is either.

To be honest, no I try not to but the OH seems to be glued to it this year. At least I get to watch the Footie when it's on now.

The Blondie is a cracker! Nice girl it appears as even the missus wants her to win because "she's a nice person"!

i'll admit I've only watch this years and last years, prior to that I only caught bits of previous series. As I said, it's down to the OH.

and i agree with the poster who said they should play more mind games with them. I suggested to the OH they should call someone into the Diary Room and then have the person speaking to them start frantically screaming to them "IT'S OVER, IT'S ALL OVER, NUCLEAR WAR HAS BEEN DECLARED, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE" before being cut off. Or soemthing along the lines of this.

I do find it quite amusing when the House starts giving them st, ie, when Hira just didn't get her mission and they ordered her to leave the Diary Room in a "Just get out!" kind of way.

You might want to have a word with your brain and self respect, neither seems to have stopped you from posting in a thread on a subject you apparently have no interest in.

Or were you merely trying to demonstrate your contempt at those of us you feel are beneath you?

ETA: you're the same poster who, in the Guitar Hero thread, posted "Why bother, why not just learn to play a real guitar". You seem to have a habit of posting in threads you have no interest in simply to exert your superiority over others. Why is that?

I had a think about what you said and the reason is.... because it's the internet and a I can.

The question was "Anyone been watching this years big brother?" to which I replied in the negative and gave reasons.

With regards to the Guitar Hero thread my response provoked debate and I actually went out and tried it due to the positive responses I had...

...is this not the point of a discussion forum. If we all just sat round agreeing there would be no point.
