If you are anywhere near J7 of the M3, look up. There must be about 50 gliders taking thermals - quite an impressive sight. How they manage to avoid contact is amazing given the proximity of each to another and different headings in the stack.

Lasham are running competitions this week. Those gliders are getting ready for (or have set off on) one of three tasks..

Lasham-Marlborough-Didcot-Lasham (Regionals)
Lasham-Salisbury-Frome-Aylesbury-Burbage-Lasham (Open Nationals)
Lasham-Avebury-Watlington-Burbage-Lasham (Standard Nationals)
