Sitagliptin - anyone tried it?
Discussion
Hi,
Diabetes Doc has recommended I stop taking piagliclazone as it may be causing maculopathy and instead try sitagliptin. Apparently it is relatively new and GPs cannot prescribe it yet which means going to the hospital every 6 weeks to get a prescription filled. Anyone tried it, any side affects?

We've been dispensing GP prescriptions for it for at least a year so whoever told you that GPs couldn't prescribe it is wrong. The trade name is "Januvia".Diabetes Doc has recommended I stop taking piagliclazone as it may be causing maculopathy and instead try sitagliptin. There is a problem with the supply situation being very tight, but if your pharmacist can't get it from his wholesaler then he can get it direct from MSD
