after a crash like that i dont think massa will ever be 100 percent again [in his mind] there could be two different drivers next year , one could be button.

he'll be just fine assuming his injuries heal his mind wont be a problem, if the accident had been due to his own mistake maybe he'd have questioned himself but racing drivers put their faith in many things outwith their control every time they get in the car. Hakkinens accident just cemented him within the team and look how he turned out? The team may well now feel that they "owe" massa a title and come back stronger next season.

Impossible to predict. Some may have been unable to perform at their previous level, but then others such as Fangio, Stewart and Lauda managed OK after big accidents.

button isnt going anywhere, although I doubt he's going to win the championship this year. If his car is still only capable of 4th place finishes when the season starts up again then red bull will reel him in very quickly. Mclaren getting back on form and overhauling them is the very worst thing that could happen for button.

Specualtion thus far suggests Massa& alonso at ferrari with kimi taking a $25 million pay off and going rallying full time. Although from what Ive heard ferrari dont much like alonso so who knows?
