Things have finally gone t*ts up at work and the company has gone into liquidation this has been on the cards for sometime and I have been seeking other employment for 6 Months or so but nothing doing as everybody else in the same situation knows.So the Green Meanie and I may have to part company after 5 or so years of bliss and shear enjoyment,as anyone who knows it this car its had a body off restoration and the chassis is immaculate.I just wondered about the current market and what peoples veiw on prices were ,up down good or bad.

The market is in a strange state at the moment but it looks like the right cars at sensible prices are selling fairly swiftly.

As Mike says, good cars at sensible prices tend to go fairly quickly. I am sure that you are trying every avenue to avoid having to let the car go.

Thanks Guys,for your support I am hanging on in there hoping something may turn up but at the moment its pretty grim .I think I may only be putting off what needs to be done,but my wife has told me not to do anything yet (she knows how much I love this car) so watch this space.

I know BAe (Samlesbury) took on an Electrical Maintenance Engineer 12 months ago... just happens to be a Griff owner aswell. Worth getting on their register for the cost of a phone call.

Never seen Smiths in a TVR before - although mine is about to get one as I'm swapping my "ticks like a time bomb but as accurate as a sundial" TVR clock for a Smiths unit.

And a non wraparound rear screen. Is this still plastic?

I fancied a change as I did not like the way the dials were laid out. So decided to go the whole hog and they custom made the dials. Cost over £600 back then with all the warning lights....

I must have been off my rocker, Still miss here but with 2 kids just not practical enough...

Hi Alex,great car had 5 years of fun with it,a few changes have taken place in my ownership.

Unfortunately the dashboard does not have the Smiths guages anymore as I have put back to factory spec,with Pre-Cat guages and the original layout with a new dashboard reveneered just because I preferred it that way,(thanks Wargriff for the old original).The LE mirrors were removed and painted body colour made up wiring still waiting to be fitted(typical electrician leave that till last).

Chassis is still as new cleaned and waxoiled every year by me,car has NEVER seen rain UNTIL this years Griff Growl.The car has been totally reliable probably due to the MANY new parts fitted by yourself and regular servicing.You did a great job on it.

By the way if anyone is interested in the Smiths guages I still have them just PM me
