S Type R Tyre ware and poor radio recption

2 questions re a 2006 55 plate S Type R
1, The MW radio reception is the really really really poor, is this the norm or can I fix it?
2, The inside of both front tyres have worn excesivley, I would say that 90% of the tread is fine except for the inside shoulder on both tyres with the passenger tyre shoulder worn down to the wires.
