E39 Tyre Choice

Need to fit some new tyres to my E39 530d sport (235/45/17 M Sport alloys), was thinking of fitting the new Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric. Anyone have any experience of these, is there anything better that can be recommended?

I've fitted these to my 530i Sport and also the back of my parents Z4. They are excellent.

They seem at least as good as the excellent GS-D3 F1's I had before but the tread pattern is far more boring

Try Avon ZZ3's, got them all round, reasonable price and excellent life.

If tyre life is your main concern you've got the wrong car and should sell your E39 and buy a Passat diesel.

I put Falken FK452's on the back of my B3s and a lot of the Alpina guys have done the same. I really rate them, and not too expensive either.

I run F1s on my M3. They are excellent.
