You know, the stuff that you use in cooking, not Cordial.

Has anyone seen any on sale recently? Because I've been hunting in all the supermarkets for a couple of months, without success frown

I asked in Sainsburys today where it had gone and was told that there is a national hold on it, but they don't know why. Google doesn't provide any clues as to why it is missing either frown

Forgive me if this is a stoopid question, but why not just squeeze some limes? Or is this some completely different product?

Get a lime squeezer - this the kitchen gadget I probably use most often. It will do lemons as well, just not as efficiently:

Noticed that Tesco no longer does Lime Juice in it's "Ingredients" range a few months ago. No idea why but Limes are so cheap at the moment that I just buy fresh ones. Hadn't forgotten about the juice until seeing this thread.

I manage to cut them in two and squeeze the juice out with my hands but as a gadget freak I may now have to buy a lime squeezer ....

yes I know I can squeeze them and do hehe

But when all I want it for is to marinade some meat, it makes it an expensive way of doing it frown

Besides which - why is there a national shortage of the bottle juice all of a sudden?

I always have a few limes for my G&T, but as you say, wanted to do a BBQ marinade for several people and thought as it was not pancake season that the bottled stuff would probably suffice for bulk marinade - I too was gobsmacked when Asda told me they had none and hadn't been in stock for a while and no idea when any coming in.

Any of the weekday crew know why there is no Lime Juice to be found anywhere please?

Do we need to start a petition to release the bottles? hehe

I buy mine in litre bottles from Booker cash and carry for a couple of quid. Lasts for ages kept in the fridge.
