Just wondered if anyone knew the whereabouts of a car I sold/traded to a chap via Pistonheads a couple of years ago (or do you still visit?) It was a blue E36 M3 saloon registration P597 VFU (I think, a bit vague I admit. Too many cars bought and sold over the years to be sure). It had a Caged cage (!) in, RaceLogic Traction Control and AST suspension amongst other goodies.

I think the chap was called Colin but I can't remember his surname at all. He lived in the Hants/Surry area and took the car intending it for trackdays.

I've looked for links to trackdays and never seen a mention of it and lost all details of the car, transaction and buyer a while back. I'd love to know how it's doing and if, maybe, he's ready to sell it?!

Cheers . . .

Hi David,
I still have your old beast smile
It's just been stripped out a bit more, proper race seats and harnesses and a few more goodies added.
Within the last week I have just finish swapping the 6 speed box for a 5 speed and a new Z3 rack (quicker rack).
Air con and air pump have also been removed. AP's have still to go on but that's next on the list.
Email on the way.

Hello again!

Thanks for the reply - glad that you are still frequenting PH and to hear from you. The message as very vague as I couldn't for the life of me find any details of the car or the sale and managed to get through 5 since then (mostly cheap and/or bad deals!)

Sounds like you have been busy, have you had it on track at all, and if so how did you find it?

Oh, and was I right about your 1st name and the reg? Getting too old obviously . . .

Cheers

David

While we are on the subject.
Does anyone here own an E36 M3 reg no:- L21 VNJ. (Daytona violet)
I owned this car back in 1995, would be nice to know if it's still in one piece.....It certainly hasn't been taxed for over a year frown
