Pod newbie needs some help

Anyone care to share on how to access the pod features on the MK II s in general.
The one I downloaded from mytuscan was for the MK III controls.
Specific q's
1. I can't use the recall feature it says access is denied - is this becuase I was on the move perhaps, haven't tried it stationary..
2. I get a "clock failure" about 1 in 4 times I start the car. Hardly a major drama, but perhaps there is an easy solution... ?

Not sure about the recall feature, as I can see mine but in saying that there are other menu options that say access denied. I think the clock failure is a flat battery, there is a coin cell(s) that need replacing CR2032 type IIRCThe one I downloaded from mytuscan was for the MK III controls.

Seems you can't access the recall function on the move or stationary, I tried originally too. The Tuscan II handbook, which I have in pdf too if you'd like a copy, states the following for the different screens;
1. Normal - The 5 driving screens.
2. Setup - To adjust display settings & set the clock.
3. Recall - Optional track pack, not yet available.
4. Sports - Optional track pack, not yet available.
5. Heater Temperature - adjustment in percentage
6. Not used.
7. Service Dealer functions.
8. Factory Factory use.
To remove the pod and access the battery, release the Steering Column Adjustment Lever and pull the steering wheel as far out and down as possible. Undo and remove the two small dome shaped nuts from either side to the rear of the pod, and the two (2.5mm) allen screws from the front two sides. Gently pull the rear flaps (can't think of a better word) off the studs where the nuts came from and lift the whole pod clear. Be careful of the wiring, but there should be enough slack to turn the pod round. The battery can be clearly seen on the circuit board.

Awesome - thanks for that comprehensive response. I am re reading my original owners manual as I write.
In my defence I was sooooo excited on my first morning of ownership that I awoke at 6am and started "playing" immediately. Fettling the service panel. Mates poping up to see the new motor and gas away... Kids stopping to gawp etc. etc. Finally got to go for a spin, 200 miles later and countless grins later, thoroughly exhausted, I write and asses the days findings.
The performance is on par with a top end motorcycle I would say, simply ballistic!
Should start a new post really but... anyone know how to make a heatsheild to protect the scuttle panel from blistering?
