Taking some money out of my E46M3 cab and going back to a scooby. Fancy a P1 this time.
Any top tips from owners?

Spending about 10k on an unmolested one with good history.

Thanks

Scott.

Despite the fact that P1 owners are some of my best customers, I would still have an Sti 5 type R.

P1 was a great marketing exercise.

Apart from the rear spoiler, seats and coil springs, it was simply a 4 door sti5 (non DCCD) drive train in a 2 door Type R shell with a UK dash and wagon (for the rear wash wipe) wiring loom.
For the ECU mapping all they did was increase the knock sensitivity on the standard STI map. (Most mappers start with a P1 base map when remapping MY99/00 STI's).

I had a modded TypeR with all the extra's, 8/9 years ago but if I went back to a 'Classic Scoob, I would probably get a P1 as well.
