Been at work this morning, there's this guy who comes in, who's quite delusional and annoys most of the staff. I'm working on the trollies, and he's sat in front of the main bay, and as I'm putting the trollies away he starts talking to me. He goes on about I'm not filling the bays quickly enough and I should use my brain and RUN around the car park with 10+ large shopping trollies, that's what he'd do apparantly and this is supposedly why I'm stuck with such a st job, which is when I nearly hit the fking roof. The reason I have such a st job is there's hardly anyone out there employing uni students right now as I'm on the verge of leaving town again. And who the fk was he to critisise my job, by the way he was talking it sounded like he was a self made billionaire. But no, he's been on the dole for years, is more than twice my age, still lives with his mum, playing with Warhammer game things. Then before I can reply, he calls his girlfriend on his phone. This puzzled me, how the hell he could have a girlfriend I would never know, he's been on about her before when I served him at work, supposedly she's a 25 year old model who's moved here from australia to be with him. He even said he's going home to "fk her brains out" when I handed him his change, which pissed me off as there were quite a few small children around with disgusted looking parents. Anyway, here he is, on the phone to her, he says "ooh you're still in bed, wait there and I'll give you a reason to be tired" etc etc. By now plenty of customers are looking pretty angry with him (most of them this time of the morning were either elderly or people with small children), and I'm hoping this annoying cock goes away or ges punched by a customer before I go for him, he's doing the "your turn to hang up" thing, still talking when......

Hehe...I would love to have seen that and then giving him a roasting for being a total Feckin tt. Probably a really sad case with absolutely no life or intelligence.

Yep pretty much sums him up in one line. He disappeared into a taxi after that, much to the amusement of me and many angry customers.

Weekend in Croyde.

Finding B+B- Fail! (Although to be fair I expected it)
Cost of campsite- Fail! £27. One tent. 2 people. One night.
Getting food- Fail! Ended up waiting 2 hours to eat.
Company- Fail! The entire place is utterly, utterly infested with horrible youths.
Weather- Fail! Just fail.
Sleep- Fail! See other point concerning horrible youths up all night. And, incidentally, a Sea King about half a mile away hovering for the best part of half an hour.

And, of course, numerous cockends of the motoring variety.

So there we are.

Are you sure you didn't make a very wrong turn and end up here in South Leicestershire? hehe

Nope! On the plus side I did note that the North Devon link road is a superb bit of tarmac- Well-suited to a VMax blast, were it not for the cameras and surprisingly numerous TrafPol scattered around!

Never ever do Croyde peak season, it's like upper Newquay! I'm often there and lived there a summer season. Which site did you go to?

The link road used to be great in the late 80s wink Now it's a snooze due to marked and unmarked cars and mobile cameras. The fixed ones are easy enough to spot.

I know laugh and in a way I'm going to miss this place after 19 years, I'm finally going. Far away. Furthest uni away is Aberdeen, so off I pop (fingers crossed, waiting on next Thursday!) At last I can get away from cockends like the subject of my post.

...Apart from the one "obscured" by bushes... Which appeared to have scorch marks thereon wink

Went to Mitchum's village campsite- The one on the juncton towards the beach road. Great location, scandalous prices...

Quite, he made a quick escape to a nearby taxi.
What made me laugh too was his suggestion to run with thr trollies. Anyone with even the tiniest, most deformed brain cell knows this is not a good idea. Last time some wker did this, I was in Asda car park, and it explains the large scratch down the side of my Panda. The weight of 10+ trollies is probably approaching that of a small hatchback, so no way would any of our staff run with them.
Anyway, I also remember the cockend in question making me stand in the middle of the car park one very cold winter morning while he tried to lecture me on what a bad choice I had made in a Fiat Panda, and I should have bought a nuclear reactor powered car, which of course don't exist for the obvious reason that a 5mph car park bump could potentially wipe half of England off the map. But according to this waste of blood and organs, I was wrong because his warhammer game things can be successfully powered by nuclear reactors without exploding on impact, so a car must do as well. Being as delusional as he is, I didn't waste my breath on that argument. But when he started critisising the Panda, my bladder nearly spontaneously combusted. It's not a small piece of st thankyou very much, its a very decent little hatchback which does everything I need it to do, nothing more nothing less. The way he goes on, it sounds like he has a fleet of Rolls Royces or whatever. But no, he spends all his dole money on warhammer crap and tobacco, and hasn't even bothered to try and learn to drive. Bearing in mind he must be at least 35, maybe even 40.

The best site down there for access to everything, hence full. Load of girls I know were down there this weekend. Sorry wink Was almost empty back in early July.

You can often get good B&B deals at the Croyde Bay Holiday Village (the first one as you head into Croyde from Saunton Sands) - minimum 2 nights £38 per head per night half board. As much as you can eat morning and night too.

Ah the scorched camera, bottom of the hill on the way there?

In your own words, FAIL.
