Is ebay rubbish for Tuscan parts?

I've just put a mis-bought mk2 roof on flea-bay (mrs says we've got to de-clutter and I bought this thinking it would fit my mk1).

Just gone back to check it went up and there are 24 pages of basically irrelevant tripe listed under TVR Tuscan and my add is lost somewhere between them all.

Anyone had any experience of selling Tuscan stuff on fleabay - am I better on PH? Was attempting to get a wider audience but I personally doubt I could be bothered to trawl through 24 pages if I was perusing for TVR stuff!

You can compain to ebay about people using incorrect listing titles etc to try to get more hits. I have done it in the past but clearly there is a big benefit in stating "TVR" in the advert as they keep cropping up.

Never bought on fleabay myself, but must admit the volumes of sh*t can be a destraction. Having said that, how many people here scroll thru just in case

Well it officially is rubbish - I'm not letting it go for 99p!
The mind boggles at the person you puts a bid in like that.

Sold my Alfa on fleabay this weekend (got a decent price in the end) - there were three bids before it got to £7.....£7!!! Who goes y'ep I'll bid upto a fiver for this car'!?

Anyone after a Mk 2 roof let me know.

the way you advert on there can make the differance
you can sell with a minimum price (reserve not met)

there bid may not have been 99p, it could have been 1p short of the reserve but would only be 99p until someone else bid or they entered an ammount at or above the reserve price.

I saw the roof and was going to bid, i didnt know there was a difference between mk1 and mk2 apart from the side trims, is this the only difference and does it cause a problem?

I know what you mean but there were (on my alfa not this) 3 bids before it got to £10 - ie 2 people had a max bid of under £10 for a car!?

The Mk2 roof is different - I also did not realise until I had bought one.

Main difference is that the lip that slots in above the windscreen is wider and hence does not fit into position.

If there is no market for them second hand I may investigate adapting this one for a mk 1 - not 100% if its possible though.

I did the exactly same thing, brought a Mk2 roof but the lip is to big for the Mk1. Mine is currently up on PH with one query, but no sale yet.
