Oil for Murcie

AGIP are the only oil and related products recommended by Automobili Lamborghini for use in their cars...
You're right about the level checking procedure though - seems kind of bizarre really, not least because the 'system' for older Lamborghini V12s, (with are substantially the same engine architecture as the Murciélago after all) requires the old-fashioned method of ensuring the car is flat parked and the engine has been cooling for at least 5 or 6 hours without being run and then checking the dipstick...
Your owner's manual should say which AGIP oils to actually use or top-up with...
...and I feel like I'm telling my granny how to suck those darned eggs again! Sorry chum!

There's a sticker inside the engine bay on my SV which tells me how to check the oil (the procedure is of the hot engine, level, idle for I've-forgotten-how-long, turn off, jump out, check within 30 seconds or something). No sticker on yours?
Also, AGIP oil was recommended only for my old Gallardo Spyder and Superleggera. The dealer gave me some sort of Castrol for the LP560, and now I have Mobil's finest for the SV. Check with dealer/manual

Thanks everyone it confirmed my thoughts on the oil, but I do know that the process for the oil level check has been
changed since the instructions in my manual. Unfortunately there is no sticker either. As I have seen a notification from
the factory used by Mike who services it.........but Mike is now on hols till the end of the month and I don't want to bother him.
Thanks again.

So why do some official Lambo dealers use Shell? AGIP are the only oil and related products recommended by Automobili Lamborghini for use in their cars...
