My workhorse Mk3 Mondeo has just ticked over 100k, and I'm putting some thought into whether it's time to replace or just continue with it. It's the 130bhp one, and has had a fairly interesting life. Flywheel was replaced at 67k, injectors at 70k, aux drive belt and pulley was just done although these seem to last around 40k before rattling themselves to pieces

I've seen some taxi's with well over 200k on them, but never got any answers as to whether they needed new turbos, how many flywheels, whether the chain is suspect etc

Anyone run one over 150k without it costing the earth? Bearing in mind they're getting towards £2/£3k in value there's going to be a point where it's just not economical to fix it soon

Im not sure about the mondeo but I used to talk to a person on ffoc.co.uk who had a diesel focus over 200k and all he ever did to his car was replace belts and the clutch once.

Mines just gone over the 75k mark and I'm concerned about injector failure as that seems quite an expensive and common fault.

I too would be interested in hearing the experiences of TDCi high milers.

Hi all, i sold my old focus tddi with 210k on the clock, serviced every 10k relaced, cat, starter, clutch and fly wheel, and a belt tensioner.
My current focus is a tdci, that needs a belt tensioner, and thats it at the mo, and its on 158k with open end air filter and tuning box, never misses a beat.

I've not looked under the bonnet of the Focus, but I was under the impression that they used a different engine variant to the 2.0 Duratorq Puma
