Just finalising the list. Will then be starting the not unpleasant task of making sure it all works :-)

It would be ideal to sell the lot in one go which is probably about as likely as winning the lottery .....

I might have a go with the lot on ebay. It's worth a punt for the £8-10 to list.

Anyone have any other ideas at selling the lot in one go ?

I'm sure I can sell the stuff individually on ebay or other places but it's just such a pain ......

Suggestions gratefully welcomed :-)

It all depends on what you’ve got to sell, some retro stuff is worthless others can be worth a lot, I sold some duplicate games a few years back, one of them being Streets of Rage 3 for the Mega Drive which went for over £50 on eBay, Road Rash 2 on the over hand went for just £1.25.

There are some shops that specialise in retro stuff that may take the lot off you; some will let you trade it in against new stuff (www.retrogames.co.uk is a good one to try). But if you sell a big job lot on eBay I guarantee whoever buys it will split it and resell individually, if you want to make as much money as you can this is what you need to do. It takes time but you’ll make so much more £££ in the long run.

I’d make a list of everything you have and see what the prices are like on eBay at the moment, see if you have anything valuable.

Thanks Phil. I've done the list and priced everything up on ebay using listings that have actually sold ( tooke me 3 days ! ). I've taking the average ish price of each item or if I could only find one item that sold I've knocked a bit off in an attempt to obtain a realistic valuation of the collection.

It's well into 4 figures .....

My ideal would be for a collector to say 'Hey i'll have all that, my well off girl will buy it for my Birthday !'

Or to sell the lot to a local shop. Theirs a few locally that deal in retro stuff.

Guess that wownt happen though ...

May well be worth sticking the list on here first, I've seen a few people respond to threads like this suggesting they'd be interested (I could be! wink ) in some things. smile

If you sell to a shop or sell as a job lot, you'll get a lot less than the individual prices.

I'd be tempted to open a shop on Ebay and do it that way. Ebay is crap now but generally with more specialised things such as this, the buyers tend to be ok to deal with, rather than idiot kiddies.

Thanks chap. smile

I think the ideas on splitting and selling separately (ish!) is a bit harder work but is likely to net you a lot more £!
I've bought quite a few rare consoles on eBay over the last few months (a SNES, Panasonic Q, have bid on a few others oh and an absolutely mint NES!) and the listings tend to have more 'serious' buyers and less morons. smile

I just looked at prices and my brain almost went into melt down, in my collection I have:

Rez
Power Stone 2
Outrigger
Cannon spike
ready to rumble boxing 2
San francisco rush
Power stone
crazy taxi
Soul caliber

And at least 6 more weird and wonderful ones as I alays refused to buy any of the mainstream ones.

They are all used but in very good condition, what kind of prices can I expect compared to ebay?

Bleemcast for the DC is quite rare should should fetch a few £££, I see you have Rez too!! You're in luck, this is the one of rarest PAL releases and you could see anything up to £70 for it! The other games are unfortunatly only worth a few quid each, although Powerstone 2 is fairly hard to come by so you may make £10.

Edit: Looking on ebay Rez looks to be going for about £45, not to bad!!
