I broke with the norm, of fitting Bridgestones some time ago, and have been using F1's, the grip is 1k times better (imho) than so2 or 3's) my record so far is 5 track days, oh and about 8k miles on one set.
The last set cost £330 from micheldever.
I would recomend them to any tvr owner.

Are they GSD2 or GSD3 tread? I have a full set of GSD2 on the Omega and find them to be excellent, and I've been starting to think about what to put on the front of the Chim when they need doing (shortly). Pair of SO-2s on there currently.
Also..... the front currently has 205/55ZR15 but the bible says they should be 225/50ZR15 if you have PAS (which I do). Should I go up to 225/50s?

What's size rear tyres have you got? I have 225s on front (PAS) and 245s on the rear.
Mines only a baby 400HC (yours must be a 500 with them on the back
) and so I have 225/50ZR16 fitted. Not Bridgestone either. Something called "Marshall PowerRacer" or something......? I think they may have to go!GarryM said:

The same width front and rear did seem a little odd (for a tiv, anyway), but I'm quoting p329 from the second edition..... maybe if shpub pops by he could confirm
I don't need them for a couple of thousand miles, but wouldn't mind knowing.
Now..... what are these Marshall things my rear end has fitted?

From what I can see on the goodyear website, you can get the 15" sizes in GSD2 and the 16" sizes in GSD3.... So if you can't get all 4 wheels in the same tread, I'd be looking at SO-3 or Toyo I think..... especially as theres an ad for Toyo in Sprint advertising that they do all "our" sizes in Z rating now.....
I'm using 15's on the front & 16's on the back, and you can't get the same pattern in both sizes, so i'm mixing the two tread patterns. I was in the tyre trade for ages, and always told people not to mix patterns etc, but to be honest, it feels great. Even in the wet, they are shed loads better than bridgestones, which should be logical, as they are based on the f1 wet patterns.

Are you sure that you don't mean S03PPs? I liked the S02PP a lot but the F1 GS-D3s are better.
