As my other thread states, I have my s1 booked in next thursday.
My only real concern is the shocks as they have stood for a while and don't look that great.
There not the orginals but still a good few years old.
I'm intending on replacing them all soon but want to get the big expense getting it through the MOT first before buying the "extras".

I have booked some time off work around the bank holiday to fix any biggish issues that may arise that are too expensive for me to leave at the garage.

If anyone has a set of shocks and springs from an upgrade that are still MOT able then please let me know, I can return once I've upgraded or (even better I might not even need them).
I won't have time once I know if it's failed to get any one to post hence the early request.

I'm near wellingborough if any one is local

PS: There was a thread a while ago but the search function has gone down!

Hi Mike, I have my (original ?) Koni's available if any help, fronts and rears. Can't gaurantee MOT ok but look dry (no leeks) Only removed because did all suspension bushes, ball joints etc and thought "in for a penny in for a pound" we'll have some new shocks too.
I'm in Redditch, not exactly on the door step but there again not the other end of the country.

PS can't say for sure but wouldn't have thought h'brake warning light essential ? older cars didn't even have one.
