BMW Performance calipers for M5?

Has anyone had any experience with the BMW Performance calipers on the e39 M5.Can they be used with the original Floating discs?

The BMW Performance catalogue doesn't list them for the e39.

For the E39 you will need to buy an aftermarket kit, BMW did not make performance parts until about two years ago.
