just had ipod and bluetooth upgrade done at finsubry car audio on blackstock road. it uses the pcm2 system and can use/control ipod without loss of cd chager. Also bluetooth much better than the sim tray.

Fitted in a couple of hours and was much cheaper than OPC to fit...speak to Junior there, highly recommended.

Hi There,

Ive got the PCM2 system in my 996tt and have an audio guy looking at it tomorrow to do a simular thing, did they use the Dension kit? also does the Bluetooth work through the built in microphone in the dash etc?
Are you pleased with the kit?

Cheers

Dear oh dear,
I’ve never worried about warranty, some people are completely risk averse, ive always had the opinion keep the cash I would have spent on the warranty in the bank and if I need it then so be it, and if I get really unlucky then oh well that’s the price you pay for having a little piece of exotica, now a few years down the line after 2 M3's, 996, Ferrari 348, TVR T350, Tvr sagaris and 996tt later I have been fortunate to have only had the usual annual expenses to pay out for, and still have the £7 or £8k I would have spent on warranties. thats my 2penneth anyway!!

in 10 months when my Porsche warranty runs out, I've no intention of renewing it - I'll probably look at the warranty offered by iirc techart? or one of the tuners I read about a month or so ago.

i'm pleased with the kit, uses a parrot blutooth chip, so can keep original microphone and speaker. am not sure of the brand though
