Mega shark Vs Giant octopus
Discussion
Well, I have been waiting 2 months for this to turn up from Americaland, and it arrived Saturday, so I promptly sat down and watched it.
Basic story is a mega shark and a giant octopus are frozen in time, and awoken again to fight each other, it stars
Lorenzo Lamas yes that rubbish guy from Renegade, the rubbish American tv show Deborah Gibson yes that rubbish woman who had a crap music career.
Now for a film that was made in 12 weeks, yes that is weeks not months, it has to be said that its pretty poor, CGI is bad occasionally not coloured in and they re use the same CGI several times, and the same scenes aswell, and the acting is shockingly awfull, I mean really bad, worse than Seagal bad, and thats through the whole film
-Octopus swats a plane out of the sky, nothing to bad about that, apart from the guy starts his death scream about 15 seconds before getting hit out of the sky
-Shark eats Golden Gate bridge and costs thousands of lives, to be fair, it takes out like 12 cars, take an average of 2 people per car, thats 24 f
k it just call it 30 people die in this incident, and by die I mean CGI cars fall into the water and some are eaten by the shark (yes it is that big)
-Pointless, random out of nowhere obligatory sex scene, they had just met, what made it better was they were under lock and key with armed gaurds around them, yet managed to saunter off into a supply cupboard, tres romantique
-America is working with Japan, yet the Japs in there and even Japanese per say, they are American Japanese or as far as I can tell Mexican.
-Guards don't seem to move for days when stationed at a post, or even change there facial expression, however one guard does walk past another guard, in attempt to then walk off camera, yet he doesn't walk that far off camera and you can see the top of his head, whilst he is stood there hoping he is out of shot I guess
-All the subs and boats, American and Japanese are identical to each other
-American subs whilst traveling in a pack of about 6, mere inches away from each other are referred to as "the wolf pack" errrr, wolf pack-Germany-WW2?? Not American!
-Pointless scene with the jet airliner with banana wings, I wont say to much as that one is just wtf why you do this?
-The picture they use for the giant shark is one of a megalodon a prehistoric giant shark, which that is what the film is about or as Renegade/Lamas calls it (Sharkzilla) now if you google Megalodon third picture on images is the one they use, perhaps a blatant steal from Google images? Did they pay for it? Who knows I am guessing the former
-The science scene, where the 3 wildlife researchers and oceanographers are "doing science" now this "science" is just a 10 minute scene of them mixing colours together, I mean chemicals. First they seem to make lots of cherryade before settling on Mountain Dew, but dear god the scene is awfull,
Distinct lack of kersharking and octopussing, and the end battle is to be fair piss poor....
What will you expect for a film made in 12 weeks with a low budget and low budget acting, definatly worth a watch because its so awful its funny.
Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus is god f
king awful and probably one of the worst films I have ever seen in my life, and by that I mean its f
king awesome!!!!!! Honestly there are worse films out there, I have seen them being some what a connoisseur of bad films, usually Seagal, Lundgren, JCVD films, but I have seen some really bad films, like Ninja dragon, Ninja Squad, Ninja Terminator, to be honest countless amounts of bad films, and this one is certainly better than them

How the hell does the first viewing go with all the crew and families...do they all not just sit their feeling very embarrassed? In one seen Ms Hanna dives into water that is knee deep and is suddenly in 30ft of sea fighting off 15ft sharks......thats heck of a drop off on that beach! keep your kids out!
edit - i take it all back....this is worse:

"We're dealing with a menace!" Brilliant script, too, I see. As for the shark at 35,000 ft?
saw this movie a week or so ago. it was dreadful. the bit which had me laughing the most was 'target has sped up to 500 knots. great, a shark which can swim at 575mph...!!
the cheesy love afair between the bird and the jap guy was also funny. oh, and the guy in the submarine who looked stupid when speeding it up! and the whole cast. the movie as dire...but it was a laugh!

I watched it on Scifi 2 last night - couldn't beiieve what I stumbled on - what a corker!!
Loving the 500 mph shark - how does that happen underwater?? The Goldengate snack - that was quality - you'd have thought the shark might have required a bit of dental surgery after that one, but then the subs in a convoy - had to be seen to be believed.
I'm gonna search on my Sky listings to see if its on again
