International Payments- can they be reversed?

If i chose to sell a car to a chappy internationally, but wouldn't release the vehicle until funds were cleared in full, what would be the safest way of doing it?

Guy reckons on sending the payment via international money transfer from his bank account direct to mine, which is fine with me, but can he recall the payment?

Why not open an account to accept the money, then close it straight after.

Not really a big deal to do.

If he is fraudulently using someone elses bank account to send the payment then yes. Just like stolen cheques in this country can be reversed.

nope not Nigeria, and i am happy that its legit, but want to protect the money!

Can you not just invite him to collect it from you with cash in hand?
