Anybody know what is going on in the Bromley area?

Sirens have been going almost non stop for the last 3 or so hours - anybody know what's going on?

I'm not an expert on that area but there is talk here in the office of a light aircraft crashing in Orpington (having taken off from Biggin Hill). Nothing on the news yet though...

Blimey! That's less than a mile from me! I could see a heli hovering over there an hour or so ago. I'm sure I heard sirens earlier though - about lunchtime - and a lot of them too!

nice one, beat me to it. Just nipped out for petrol and went to have a look (drove against the stream of fire engines so was easy to find). BiB said it had crashed in Southborough Primary. Guess that's about 600m from my house, considering I work from home and was in the loft with all the windows open this afternoon it says a lot about my powers of observation!

I'm getting slightly worried now.

The Farnborough plane crash last year was just behind my old secondary school, now this one at my old primary school - I'm staying in the basement at work from now on!

I'm sure this is only going to fuel the fire for the anti Biggin Hill brigade though.
