if i link up the ecu and set the throttle bodies and adaptives, should i reset the adaptive maps before or after adjusting anything or not reset the adpatives maps at all? i am only asking as it comes up with a message asking if i really want to do this

AFAIK you only reset the adpatives after you have changed a component i.e. throttle pots, linkages etc i did it twice when i had had grief with mine but was gine after adjustment.

Just remember to adjust your adaptives at operating temperature.

Its best to warm engine to op temp. Reset adaptives and then tweak the tpots/airflow to correct adaptives accross the banks

ok i'm with you now, i'm running a 4.2 1997 was going to set tpots at 17% at 1000rpm and adaptives as close to 0 as possible, do you know if its better to be + or - of 0 if 0 can't be achieved with both banks being even?
