hi guys

noticed a thread where a lead was soldered directly into the radio/cd unit a while ago, tried searching and looking back but can't find it. it is for my 04 cv8 with standard fitted radio.

really fed up with the pod not performing so good through a radio adaptor and would like to have the remote control through the steering wheel as shown in that feature

so if you can point me to it i would be really grateful, link for purchase would be good too !!

hi

do you have a link, the one i saw showed it mounting directly to the pcb, the main thing i wanted to achieve was the interface to the remotes on the steering column.

maybe i saw it somewhere else, a senior moment !

Thats an awesome implementation. If I weren't running a PC and hard drive based mp3's, I would definately order one of these kits.

Yeah I did this tonight for the avalanche. Bit tricky but was amazed when it worked. Got pretty worried that all i would do is fry the stereo.

The only bit I struggled with was burning a 'blank' cd as audio. Thanks to Jimb0 for sorting it out!
