Hello - anybody here attending this?

Me and my co-owner Ian are entered in our Pug 205 GTi - the first Sprint since we bought it last month. I've chekced the in-car on youtube and it looks really fast so I'm looking forward to it.....

How fast can you go? 2 litre single seaters top 150 mph and the V8s around 180.

Looking at the entry list I guess you or Ian should be in with a shot at the class win

Colerne is great fun but trickier than it looks.

Hello - just got home from this, had a cracking day, Ian took the class win being 0.15 secs quicker than my best. Our max speed, measured by GPS, was 98.1 mph. Although that was the lap he spun just afterwards, so we are saying "how fast can the 205 go and still turn the corners" is 97.2 mph!

Only issue was that we forgot to take the spacers to run the pepperpot alloys (which had the slicks on them) so did the event on roads tyres up front.

Had a hoot tho!

I did look out for you but you were not by the car when I walked past. Fast track isn't it? We were going Ok in the morning, I got 1 timed run in after lunch but my son broke a driveshaft coupling, after that was replaced the gearbox casing cracked. Next year the ASWMC championship will be catering properly for Rally cars and will have seperate classes for them, as at Colerne this year and many other southwest venues in past years.
