A few weeks ago I went out in the Cerb with the OH, went back to hers and parked the car outside while I made tea etc, while i was walking back and forth from the lounge/ktchen I saw this littel fat kid looking at the car, thought to myself "ahh look at that, young kid taking an interest in the car" fair enough so I thought. I just kept an eye on him for a bit but he seemed harmless enough so let him get on with it.

A bit later on I saw him doing keep ups with a football, he lost control a few times but he seemed to be far enough away to not bother him.

Just washing and detailing the car this weekend for the BNG and I now have a fking football size and shape scrape on the side of the car, cant prove it was him but im almost certain it was as its the only time its been near someone playing with a football. Little fat fker!!.....now what am I to do? the only thing I can do now is to tell him to ps off if I see him near the car again, which I dont like doing because I like people taking an interest in my stuff, just wish they would be a bit more respectful to other peoples property.

Thing is, you shouldnt be dealing with lil boys as its borderline abuse if you hit him or even have a go at him, with the laws these days..

Sooo, you find a bunch of similar age pikey kids, you give them a tenner to share amongst themselves and you ask them to beat the kid up and tell him if he ever shows his face there again, they'll beat him up again.

Done deal.

Also, if done right, these pikey kids will keep an eye on ur things too, but remember to also act a pikey, if you act a rich snob you'll probably findy your cerbie on bricks one day.... biggrin

I've made it clear to the kid who lives nextdoor to us that if his football, ball, bike, you name hit my BMW or the wifes car then he will die....and any harm comes to the Cerb at his hands things in his world will become an awful lot worse!

Hope you get the scuff/mark sorted - don't forget to polish underneath - See you at the BNG.

Not sure how to sort the scuff out unless I use T-cut (dont really like to though) but its not noticable till you get right up to the car.

The car is looking magnificent and havent finished yet lol, although im going on the run out on the sat so prob will get so so so dirty and will all be a waste of time laugh

See you soon Pete

What ever you do don't use T Cut. I used it on mine and ended up with a faded patch where its polished the laquer away.

I have the same problem with kids and footballs. There's a big green at the front of my drive and kids play football there every day. They don't care about kicking it at my BMW or my girlfriends Polo, I make sure the TVR is in the garage as soon as they come out. I tried taking the ball off them when I was outside and they kicked it as hard as they could at my BMW but they just sent there dad around to get it back and he cared about as much as they did.

The more they see you getting pissed off with them the worse they get.

If they ever did any damage i'd make sure they paid for the repair.

When I was a kid I decided to help my dad out by T Cutting his metallic painted car - so on it went and on i rubbed, but it didn't look very shiny, so i kept on rubbing with extra elbow grease, and when I started to see red primer paint I realised I had probably been rubbing a bit too hard - he was remarkably calm considering.
