Chaps/Chapesses,

Meeting a 'friend' for lunch round bank and would like to go somewhere where half decent we can sit outside. Does coq argent just have a bar area? or is it lunch only? I've only ever been there smashed in the evening a few years back..

Thanks in advance.

You expect to get a seat? If the weather is decent there will be hundreds of people after every seat, so sit inside in a nice air-con'ed bar.

Given it's already 12:22 I'd agree with this, you're already too late.

Unfortunately my window is two floors to low, otherwise I would check to see how busy it was!

Hope you find somewhere decent. What about the Banker? Under Cannon Street Bridge.

Bit of a trek from Bank but there's quite a few places in St Katherine's Dock (Tower Bridge) where you can sit outside next to the dock. Always busy though, and everywhere will be rammed today!

I over looked St Katherine's Dock. The place is packed, unless you can get an invite onto a yacht!

Cross the River to Butlers Wharf??

You'll never get a seat outside there on a sunny lunchtime unless you get there early, may be some standing room though.

Walk to Bow Lane or Mansion House, a few nice places to stand around outside.

O'Neills, Pavillion End, Ye Old Watling, The Hatchet, all have places to stand outside, Pavillion End has a courtyard garden. I'm two minutes away, who wants to buy me a pint? smile

Aye.. is a long trek.

Lloyds building is nice, Gherkin too, and Coq, but as said, unless you can get there early (or late) you've no chance.

yeah, most places are to be honest in and around that area, Exchange square has a few bars and restaurants as well which are nice.

Thanks chaps. As it happend I ended up in coq argent, surprisingly quiet for such a sunny day, well it suited us anyway, and she seemed to like it and wants to meet for another drink... No doubt I post a thread in few weeks how my life is a complete mess and the doris has fleeced me for every penny... Still, enjoy it while it lasts!
