E46 towbar

I need a towbar for my E46 328i. Any recommendations? Are they simple DIY? Doesn't need to be removable.

How do the auto boxes hold up with towing? 500kg-ish load.

Had a Brink bar with removable hook on mine - worked fine and perhaps $250-300 fitted. The wiring will need a gizmo to prevent the bulb warning system from throwing a fault.
