What's the best bit about your journey to / from work?
Discussion
Leaving aside the obvious 'getting home' or 'seeing the kids' or 'getting away from the wife', what's the best thing, feeling or view you see or experience on your way to and from work?
Is it a girl you see on the tube, or maybe an overtaking spot you use, or an expansive vista, or maybe it's your favourite kebab van there as always. Maybe you pass a cool car or interesting building, or wave to your mate.
For me, it's coming down the hill through my village, past the thatched stone houses and pub with the sun bathing them in warm tones. Really rather pretty, and I get to experience it most days.

For me it would be when traffic is busy and I decide to take the 'old' road home. It takes a fair bit longer, but is generally empty and has a few nice opportunities for getting things a bit sideways with all the electronic driver aids turned off. Oh and a short tunnel which tends to prompt the lowering of windows and a bootful of acceleration in second!

The best bit to and from work is the 4-500Meter tunnel i go through. Method is, open windows, hifi off, enter tunnel in 4th at 4000rpm, nail the throttle and hear it sing to 8500rpm!!!! I love it!
Also there is a very very attractive young lady that sells me my smokes i pop in and see sometimes......

My journey is 10 miles takes about 15 mins through 3 little villages joined together by winding 60mph bits 2 lanes wide, I should post a Google map or something, anyway they are just windy enough that you get used to driving them at 60mph and then back down to 30 for the village. Lots of fun.

You've lost me...The rest of the women are mostly 70+.
Would be nice to have some legal eye candy about on days like this.
I have an hour long train journey into Central London each day so there's not a bunch of good things to do.
I tend to watch films or series on the Ipod touch.
So far I've watched dozens of films, 5 series of Entourage, 6 series of The Shield, 4 series of Babylon 5, 2 series of Hustle, 3 of The Wire, 4 series of Scrubs and I'm just about to start the West Wing.
