Hi, i've got a yellow gallardo which at the moment has silver wheels on it which i do like, although on monday i see another yellow one heading up the M4 ( anyone on here?) with the black wheels and big yellow brake callipers which i also liked very much! So im now stuck on what to do, do i stick with silver or get them in black??

Graphite/gunmetal would look better IMO.

I reckon black should remain the preserve of hardcore variants. Looks chavvy otherwise.

Dont make me bring your number plate in to this!! wink

My opinion is fairly obvious - i think black wheels look pretty aggressive. Where as silver just look "nice". Graphite definitely look good too

yep, looked superb I thought, but then again, I like mucking about with the look of things so maybe I'm not the best judge!

I would go black, I wished I did when I had my yellow one. I also thought Doug's (Traxx) yellow with black looked fantastic. If you have yellow calipers it will break it up too. My current Gallardo has black wheels and calipers and you do lose the detail of the caliper in the wheel.

IMHO, black can sometimes look too black, so I went for gunmetal/not so black finish! (Any excuse to post a pic!)

black on yellow is only acceptable is the alloys are not too detailed i.e. bare/3 spoke or similar i think,
gunmetal grey would be a happy compromise.

Of course being of that age group I remember the first time I saw a car with black wheels.

Somehow the association is just stuck in my head and every time I see black wheels I think......

On a yellow lambo blacks wheels or dark chrome look lovely ,
tried to get my customer to go black with his car but at the last moment went for the safe standard silver option . frown
