Sagaris Fuel Cap Filler

Long story but i had to drill the lock out of my fuel cap filler a number of months ago.

I want to replace just the centre bit that you lock, where can I get one from as I think it is not pressurising.

Hi Paul.
Hope all is well bud. I don't know about the lock but the TVR part number for this whole fuel filler cap is L0618. You could try TVR Power?

Info from Graham Varleys Sag Bible:

TVR got them from "Newton Equipment". Description of part is Aero 300 flush fit locking cap and funnel. Their part number is A36NL1LFK.

They also supply spare parts so may be able to just supply a new lock and key???

While we are on the subject of fuel caps, I have a T350 and the handle has come off that you open the cap with, also the threads have gone.
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a replacment.

Excellent lee, I will be getting in touch with Newton, I only need one bit or I may try a breakers. I can't find the one that was on ebay recently, he will probually have one hanging around.

Lol I have a small set of mole grips on the shaft and just use them!!

Can't you get the handel tapped with a longer thread fit a long bolt and use loctite?

I remember reading somewhere (EVO T350 buyers' guide I think) that the Sagaris fuel filler assy had been retrofitted to some T350s to alieviate the fuelling problem.

Does anyone know anyone who has had this done? I'm not sure that it is even possible given the curvature on the side of the T350 where the current filler is located and the sheer size (relatively) of the unit pictured.

Anyone got any input?

I heard the same, but likewise can't imagine how it could possibly fit the curvature of the T350's rear wing.

I never thought there was a particularly bad fuelling problem. Last thing I'd want is a Max Power lookalike fuel filler on the car (sorry Sagaris owners). The only restriction is that you should fill around 50% of full trigger and not try to put any more fuel in once it clicks off near the 50 litre mark.

Indeed and agreed, although over a year and a bit of ownership (and god knows how many litres of Vpower) I've only ever managed not to cover myself or the side of the car in Eau de Shell a handful of times. Some cars are better than others, I guess, but I'm an impatient sod and would rather be driving than filling up!

Was interested more from a technical 'can it be done' aspect than a 'I want one' p.o.v.

The Max Power muppets put those on because they look like a proper race filler.

The Sagaris *has* a proper race filler.

In which case the Sag filler is substantially smaller than I had initially thought as it looks to fit more-or-less where the existing filler neck and (occasional / if attached) chrome surround sit. I have to admit that I haven't spent that much time admiring that particular aspect of the Sagaris before

I know, it is rather ironic. Having one of these plastered to the side of a T350 would look out of place anyway - the T350 is all about clean, smooth lines.

I agree. It would look tacked on with the T350 (I'm still not convinced it would look right despite that pic) which would indeed look a bit Max Power.

Personally I think it works on the Sagaris since the rear wings are flared and have flat tops, so the filler is nice and flush. It also complements the "race car for the road" feel of the Sagaris.

I don’t have any further pictures; however it’s bobd's old T350 so it may be best to contact him.

I've also seen a T350 with a retrofit Sagaris filler but cannot find any pics, it was horizontal to the body and had had some GRP work to do it, if I remember correctly it was a shade of yellow.
