Thought i'd write a little about the ongoing (now fixed) problem i've had with starting the beast!

TMS in Melton found the problem (which a certain garage in Sheffield counldn't find), part of the wiring loom, from the starter motor to the imobilser, had been in contact with the exhaust - guess what happened? Yes it melted the insullation and shorted the Starter Motor.

Just another possible 'starter motor' related problem to check for.

ps - don't leave your keys in the ignition for 3 days - it flattens your battery - still the RAC man had fun when he came to start the car, he was told to expect a Nissian Primera!!!!

And lord knows what it does to your coil. Or is this just on older cars?
