TAMORA DASH BOARD NOISE ?

hi all

does anyone know if the lcd dash board has a fan or something ?

when i turn on the ignition from cold i get a light buzzing noise from the rear of the dash

which after 1 min approx goes to a quiet fan like noise

just wondered what it is

Snap! sounds like one of those mini fans on a laptop/sky box etc. No idea what it is its always made that noise, so safe to say its not about to self destruct.

The electronics for the display have a little fan. Quite a cheap one, by the sound of it.

I have the exact same noise. The problem with it, is that it only ever comes around from cold. So by the time it's near the doctor, it doesn't make itself known!

Previous owner said it was never a cause for concern and certainly hasn't been in my ownership. Sounds exactly like a cheap, computer fan.

Comes on about a minute into journey from *very* cold, lasts between 5 - 10 minutes and then dissapears.

I've started telling passengers (who have even less mechanical knowledge than I do!) that it's the supercharger I've had fitted preparing itself for take-off...

Yep its a fan in the lcd pod.

My T350 never made this noise or at least I never noticed if it did but now ive moved to a sag I hear it every time I drive it.......seems to be louder when I reach the end of a run out more than when I first start it up. Obviously can't hear it as I'm driving along so doesn't really bother me but glad I now know what it is :-)
