Hi all.
I test drove an '06 535d M Sport Touring today which I am 99.9% buying (I travelled 140 miles each way to test drive it). It's a great spec including the Media, Heads Up and Power boot amongst others.

I had 2 concerns that I was hoping you could shed some light on.

Firstly there was a high pitch whine on acceleration. I know its not the normal engine sound having driven my friends 535d consistently over the last couple of weeks. The car is being sold by a Nissan dealership and they said that they would sort this out before I took possession of the car. Any ideas what this whining noise could be?

Secondly there was some condensation in the drivers side front headlamp. Could this cause problems to the bulbs later?

Cheers
Ramon

I don't know about the whining but there definitely shouldn't be condensation in the light units given they're sealed.

Just checked and a new halogen light is £406 and a bi xenon £750.....ex vat!!!! eek

Out of curiosity, what are you paying for it if you don't mind me asking..PM me if you like...

Just that I've got mine for sale and want to see if I've priced it right...

Cheers in advance

My lights have had condensation and it comes and goes - the dealer has already replaced the entire units once under warranty.
