Shame they don't play it to the used car sales people at BMW dealers.

It probably works for the people who buy into the majority of their current range.

M for marketing, M-sport for marketing, err, sport hehe

The bit that gets me more is the use of "The ultimate driving machine" still, when they are, imho, far from it... with their lardy, gizmo laden models they have more and more these days.

They would have been the first to see it.

Don't knock BMW at least they acknowledge their History, some of the cars featured are
alltime classics, and it even makes the new 5GT look OK!!

But the best bit of the ad' is the Gina concept car as it switches its Headlights on
as the lamp covers open it looks like a living thing!!!

I love my BMW but this is such a crass advert, very 90's and total bks. I had to change most of the component parts on my BM to make it make me joy. Im not a fan of VW but those guys know how to do adverts! However i'm looking forward to an E92 M3 next year.....

Honda and VW are generally one step ahead when it comes to advertising imo.

Most adverts from BMW merc and VAG make me cringe.

I think of BMW being the ultimate driving machine. If you want a sportier car - get a lotus. However they are not the ultimate performance machine but ultimate driving. The do make cars that can sit fine in a trafic jam, on the motorway and on b-roads.

Can't think of any other manufacturer that does it so well throughout the range. Anyone else can??

BMW have used 'Freude am Fahren' in Germany for years - joy in driving or some such bks

Kraft Durch Freude - Strength Through Joy - was quite popular at one time too

Honda certainly; VW could do with a dose of smugness reduction though!

The BMW ad in question would be much better off without the voiceover and that comically naff soundtrack. On the upside it's good to see a manufacturer proud to show off it's old models and their enthusiast following.

Anyone know the type of beemer in this ad, which by the looks of it has no doors and is red?
