I am associated with the charity, Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow.

We have organised a new fundraising event which, amongst other things, involves the chance of being able to race your own car along the 2km runway at Edinburgh Airport.

Full details can be found at http://www.ppwh.org.uk/index.cfm/page/129/event/11...
or reply via here and I can try and answer any questions.

Thought this might appeal to PH'ers.

Thanks for looking.

Right I believe there are 48 places in total for this event and there are 15 still left.

Many of the cars still to be confirmed but so far we have

NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R
Audi S3 Quattro
Lamborghini LP 560-4
Mercedes SL600
Porsche 911 Turbo
Aston Martin DB9
Mitsubishi EVO VI
Mitsubishi EVO VIII

A member of Lothian & Borders finest (also a fellow PH I think) is also coming along to show their latest traffic car (scheduling permitting).

I'm heading along hopefully, great opportunity to drive on an international airport run way at full pelt. Not often that comes along!

Been a bit of boiching about this but I think it's a great opportunity and am happy to contribute 250 to this charity.

Cheers

If I could have got the afternoon off work then I'd have paid to come along as a spectator!

I would love to do this, but unfortunately i'm away this Friday for 2 weeks and not back until 26th September.

Would have been reat fun seeing flipflop's face fall when my audi pissed on his modest effort.
Not to worry, have a great day and raise some money for the hospice.
(ps. i'll go to the next one???)

I would of liked to take part in this also, but have a works day out during the day at Perth races with a Marquee and free bar so no chance of being able to drive by 4pm .

Fantastic opportunity. Just booked up and am happy to donate £300 to a worthy charity (thought it best to get a spectator ticket for the wife!).
