Monster Storm hit us tonight

It has been freaky weather in Canada all year, with monsoon like rain.rotting vegetables and periods of fierce heat. One of the worst storms I have ever seen hit us with almost no warning an hour ago... here is a new pic . I was in the middle of it and it was the most electric storm I have ever experienced.

AS for the weather, come live in Britain - we can have that kind of change in the same day.........
PS - does it still rain in Canada hard enough to hurt when it hits, even through a coat? I was having difficulty explaining to a friend who's not been to Canada exactly how heavy rain can be, when he was moaning about a little bit of a shower in the UK......
