It's mine and the wifes anniversary coming up and being a complete numpty when it comes to wine I am looking for some help. I want to buy her a case or some bottles of a decent red which she can put down to age. Ideally I'd like it to be a 2006, the year we got married. Budget would be around £100 I guess but it's not set in stone.

We have temperature controlled storage so hopefully there's a wine buff out there who can help

unfortunately this is 2007 but it is great and will still improve with age

buying 12 of these will leave you enough change from your 100 quid to buy a bottle of bubbly and some flowers for the big day... recommended

What sort of wine does she like?

tbh I think £100 for a case to 'put down' is a little on the low side. Matbe you can get something en primeur (sp) ?

I would look at nz pinot noir for your money. (But I like pinot noir and I cant afford good burgandy).
