Merc V class- any good ?

Hi I'm thinking of buying a V230 as a 2nd car. I used to drive the Vito van version back in the late 90's and it was OK (it was brand new though), but are the V's any good with 100,000 miles ?
I'm looking for something to chuck 3 mountainbikes in, or garden rubbish etc

What do you think ?

OK I've looked at some reviews and everybody hates them.
I'll steer clear.
