Ok, I'm needing a family wagon to add to my current crop, and a luxurious 2nd hand vogue is catching my eye. In fact two or three are as they're sitting at £12k - £14k !

What should I be looking out for on a 2003 / 2004 model when I go to see them ? I've already decided not to take one with over 80,000 on the clock. Is there a guide to buying them that could help me, or are there a few posters on here who can help me out ?

Hoping to avoid getting one that needs several thousand pounds of work over the next 24 months if possible !

Cheers

Try www.fullfatrr.com and www.rangerovers.net for more technical info.

Watch out for the front differential failure. LR main dealers will fit a redesigned diff for free if it does go (irrespective of age/warranty status) but it's worth checking whether it's been done or not.

Watch out for gearbox issues on high-mileage RRs. Land Rover say they're sealed for life but an occasional oil change (every Inspection 2) is probably worth it.

Yes, plenty of previous threads on here advising a few things to look for, so have a search and let us know if you can't find anything. They're great cars, enjoy!
