No luck yet from Sky, so hoping someone can help.
Set up the video to tape `Touch of Evil` this afternoon on Sky classics - has that famous long boom shot. Came home, seen it`s recorded, rewound to find I`ve got 2 hours of `please enter your PIN`. So even tho` it`s rated a 12, needed to enter the PIN at the start of the movie, perhaps beacuse it`s pre-watershed, but of course I wasn`t there.......
Can`t see how the PIN can be entered prior to setting up the video - any ideas please - really miss not seeing it now!
Thanks for any help.

HI ,
it's normally the last 4 digits on your viewing card unless you have changed it..

Hi - yes I`m OK for the number, it`s just the need to enter it somehow at the `setting up to record from TV` stage - Thanks.

It is only the last 4 digits of your card if the card is the original (first one) you have, if you have had updates then it won't be. I had to ring Sky to get mine.

Hello - yes it is the new one I have & can use OK. I`ve perhaps not been clear that at the `setting up` stage for the videotaping of the film there is no opportunity (as far as I can figure out) to enter a PIN for the taping which will start in 6 hours time. At the start time, the channel requires the PIN to be entered....
Still trying.

On the box itself I'm sure you can set it to not ask for a pin on a 12 film. There are however settings for the individual film that will force a pin even if the box is setup to not request one. I'm guessing you don't have Sky+?

The pin request is sent at the start of the film so you can't enter a pin beforehand unless all previous films are ther same cert. Ie, if you are watching a 15 rated film and have entered a pin for that then you will not get a pin request if the next film is a 15 if you haven't tuned away from the channel.

Solved it - needed to set the `parental security` system to unlock all films, which seems to apply to everything from now on.
Managed to tape the film @ 2am - hooray!
Thanks for your suggestions.
