Radiator Removal
Discussion
I am about to start to remove the radiator from my 1989 400SE and, having had a quick look underneath the car, I have a question.
Each end of the radiator sits in a metal guide, painted the same colour as the chassis. The radiator is secured to each rail by a single bolt. Each rail is secured to a wooden plank, which runs parallel to the length of the car, by two bolts.
My question:
do I remove the radiator from the metal guides by removing the single bolt at each end
or
do I remove the radiator and metal guides as one by removing the two bolts on each side ?
If anyone has carried out this job and has any other advice please feel free to pass it on.
Kenneth.
