I just looked behind the desk in my study and noticed....

...roughly about 3745 miles of jumbled up cables.

I think it stems from powering, and connecting, a PC, a lap-top, a printer, a telephone, some speakers, a TV, a radio, various wireles mice and keyboards, phones and sat-nav cradles, wifi bits and bobs, a couple of extension leads, and more besides.

Is there a way of reducing such 'spaghetti', or is that just the way it has to be?

shouldn't really be mixing data and power cables though. Might want to have two runs of that cable tidy stuff.

I do quite enjoy the mess, though. Behind our sofa lies the broadband cable, modem & cable, router & cable, guitar amp cable, tv cable, cable box cable, dvd player cable, and 2 lamp cables.

It's hard to get the sofa back against the wall if you've pulled it out. Obviously, you can't see a thing when you're in the room, but I know it claws at my (OCD) wife's compulsion towards zen-fengshoos.
