BATTERY DEAD NEED ADVICE !!!!

hi all

i think i need to fit a new battery !

does anyone know if you take off the earth lead first followed by the positive lead ?

graham varley mentions that when "connecting a new battery" connect the positve lead first ? to avoid damaging the ecu

any advice please cheers keith

Place in Dunstable should have them, thats where I got mine. PM me if you want the number. Open Sunday till about 12 IIRC.

buy a accumate charger that plugs through the cig lighter. Outer plug underneath car corrodes in around five minutes and anderson connector is completely useless

Do you live in a swamp? My Anderson connections were fine after 4.5 years.

Saying that, I agree that a tricle charger is a great idea. However they won't magic power into a properly dead battery. 4-5 years is a good life for a battery.

This is a VERY important part of our cars to keep in good condition, most Tvr garages should clean and grease the Anderson connector as part of a service.

Yes, always made sure it was covered with the plastic thingy, just unlucky to get a bad one I guess.
