And I use the term 'things' with good reason.

Isn't this another positive for the case of people needing a license to breed? How can anyone allow their kids to grow up thinking this is a 'fun' thing to do?

It beggars belief.

I saw it earlier and thought the same. No doubt all concerned will 'get off' scott free.

That is horrific. The kids that did it need re-homing in a family that would give them a proper upbringing, and the parents need sterilising. What sort of life must the kids have had, to think that what they did is remotely acceptable.

disgusting, as above, I hope those kids are taken and put with families that can teach them better than they have already been shown.

Also begs the question, what, especially with such an illness, was that 5 year old girl out playing unattended for?!?!

Truly sick.
Even if the kids are caught they won't get more than a slapped wrists.
Utterly vile cretins.

Just because she has an illness doesnt mean she has to be wrapped up in cotton wool... People are increasingly scared to allow their children to play in the street, playgound by themselves, etc and I think this robs the child of their childhood and will just make them play on computers.... When I was 5 I was always disappearing into the local woods, only to come back several hours later... did me no harm...

Oh I don't know, maybe the parents were letting her enjoy her possibly brief life?

Regardless of whether the child should have been unattended, what kind of environment spawns kids who carry around lighter fuel to burn children?..is there any hope at all?. If they are like this at 10, what will they do for an encore at 15?. The Western world seems to be growing a rootless feral zombie-like alternative society, bent on pain and destruction as a means of self expression. I worry for the future.

They are children themselves.

Feral and damaged, but there may be a chance they are not irretrievably broken.

Come on, be realistic. What is that chance that these two lads are going to become respectable members of society?

None whatsover if they are killed now.

Parent transplant is the only thing that will save them.

I doubt they were taught to do this. I can see how the child fighters in Africa could be rehabilitated as they were taught to fight, but these chaps chose to do it. Imagine holding down a 5 year old terminally ill child and trying to set her face on fire. They've got no chance.

Whilst I agree you are most probably correct, it should be noted I was not speaking for them, but against simply killing them.

On reflection, they probably were taught to do this - their understanding of right and wrong and what is acceptable will have been shaped by their upbringing. One of them was 7 for christ's sake - what kind of life have they had to be at this point? It wasn't ponies, trackdays and a Tuscan villa for August, I'd wager.
