Dizzy end float

Does anyone have a dizzy on the bench so they can measure the shaft end float for me?

Have just stripped down an old one (thanks Wayne) to cut it down for my EFI project but forgot to measure the end float. I don't want to put it together too tight and have it seize on me.
As the body is ali and the shaft steel then I would think the clearance (end float) will be quite large.

Many UK/Euro dissy's used to incorporate spring compensator-washers to overcome the expansion/scatter problems Steve....might be an idea to play with?
Anyhow, I'll measure the two SBC ones I have here tomorrow am and post the findings. HTH.

0.025 & 0.027".....a new one and a 450 mile example.

I just put mine in a bath of water and neither end floated

Dodgy curry + taking a bath more than often = muddy water ( or something akin to it looks wise ) :yuk:
