rattling cats

my drivers side cat box is rattling, the inside seems to have come away from its fixing , has anyone got any of these ,or how can i fix it ..thanks guys

what car/cats have you got ?

2004 vxr 5.7 ,its the small box under the drivers side assume that is a cat box ,,,

i have 6.0 06 vxr with 04 vxr headers and cats ..as there better than o6 ..but on 20th sept getting wortecs fitted .. mine are only 3 months old fitted by walkinshaw if interseted pm me dont wont a lot for them would rather they went to a good home

thanks stigmund would those cats fit my 2004 vxr as far as i can see they have a short length of pipe at one end and flange and a couple of inches then flange bolted at the other so not that long at all ...if so how much and can you send them ,can i have your e mail thanks rob .

007 thanks for the offer would that set up fit my car seems stuff on my car is like a 6.0 vxr as it is the hsv model with headers . thanks

the cats originally fitted as part of a full miltek system, when it was first installed it was using the stock headers so they will locate. they dont have flanges but any good welder can add a flange on

best to ask roger at the fish he knows whats on my car ...but i belive they will ..its all brand new ,and headers are for an o4 vxr as they are better than the o6 vxr ones

Stock non-VXR headers or 04 VXR like the OP has?

007 what would you be selling is it the header pipes and two cats ,, how much do you think you would want for them,, thanks rob

thanks stigmund did not think of that i could cut the flanges off and reweld them to your cats , are they stainless or mildsteel .. how much would you want for them ,, thanks rob

stainless but if you are getting headers I'd go with 007s set up. The miltek cats are quite big so if you go with long tubes then you would be better off with slim line cats. Thats why I have these cats spare, if you sticking with stock vxr stubbie headers there should be no such problem

150 + delivery for the pair or if you are near enough to Swindon you could collect and get them installed at Bells
