1996 XJ-6 Winow Glass Replacement

I'm replacing the front door glass; what is the trick to getting the rollers into the new glass' track? Does the reulator have to come off or is there a sweet spot in place? Thanks Grady

Moving on, I got the glass in the door and the rollers in the glass’ track. The glass is slotted into the channel fore and aft but it's really fighting going up and down (it only goes up about 1/3). I double checked and there is nothing (like broken glass) in the channel. Any suggestions? Thanks Grady
